Special Announcements

BAPTISM AT THE HAFFNERS:  We will be having a baptism service on Sunday, July 26, at 6 p.m. at the Haffners’ home.  Please bring lawn chairs and a dessert to share as we celebrate this time together.  If you need directions, call the church office at 380-2422.

MOWING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  In order to save on expenses, we are asking for people in our body to consider volunteering their time and/or equipment to mow the church property.  With all the rain we have had, it is in need of mowing as soon as possible.  Please contact the church office at 380-2422 if you feel God would like you to help with this need.

HAITI CONCESSION STAND:  The Haiti Mission Team could still use baked goods to sell at their concession stand this Friday to raise funds for Mission of Hope.  If you could bake up a batch of cookies or brownies and package them in plastic wrap or small baggies of two cookies/brownies each, that would be great.  Please have them at the church no later than Friday morning.  Thank you!

OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN:   There are two excellent growth opportunities for women coming up in August:  a Beth Moore simulcast at Abundant Life Baptist Church in Lee’s Summit; and an Extraordinary Women’s Conference at First Baptist of Raytown. Both are taking place on August 28-29.  If you would like more information about either of these, contact the church office at 380-2422.

CORNERSTONE CONNECT:   If you are a newcomer to Cornerstone, we invite you to take a closer look at our church by attending “Cornerstone Connect” right after the service on August 2.  This special pizza luncheon gives you insight on Cornerstone’s vision and values, and also on the opportunities available to you here at our church.  The whole family is welcome, and childcare is provided.   Hope to see you there!
