UPDATE ON LAURA DORRELL: As many of you know, Laura Dorrell is a member of our church who has been battling cancer for quite a while now. She has decided not to pursue further treatment for her condition. In the months to come, it is likely that Laura will have days that she needs someone to be with her at all times. Laura’s family has told us it would be a big help to them if there would be people from Cornerstone who could be a part of meeting that need. If you would be available to help, please call the church office at 380-2422 to be put on a list of people we can contact. Please be in prayer for Laura’s family during this time.
CORNERSTONE CONNECT: If you are a newcomer to Cornerstone, we invite you to take a closer look at our church by attending “Cornerstone Connect” right after the service this Sunday, September 27. This special pizza luncheon give insight on Cornerstone’s vision and values, and also on the opportunities available to you here at the church. The whole family is welcome, and childcare is provided. Hope to see you there!

Word for the Week
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19,20
Quotes to Ponder
“One must decide where he wants his ministry to count—in the momentary applause of popular recognition or in the reproduction of his life in a few chosen men who will carry on his work after him. Really it is a question of which generation we are living for.”
Robert Coleman, Master Plan of Evangelism
Just for Laughs
Actual Analogies and Metaphors Found in High School English Essays:
“The young fighter had a hungry look, the kind you get from not eating for a while.”
“The ballerina rose gracefully en pointe and extended one slender leg behind her, like a dog at a fire hydrant.”
