Special Announcements
INTRODUCTION TO THEOLOGY CLASS: There will be a meeting at the church on Tuesday evening the 12th at 6:30 for anyone wishing to participate in the upcoming “Introduction to Theology” class. We will be giving an overview of the course and determining which night of the week we want to meet regularly.
CORNERSTONE CONNECT: If you are a newcomer to Cornerstone, we invite you to take a closer look at our church by attending “Cornerstone Connect” on Sunday, January 17th, at 9:30 a.m. (during the Bible class time.) This informal discussion is a chance for you to learn more about Cornerstone’s vision and values, and also about the opportunities available to you here at the church. The group will meet in Pastor Tom’s office, and a light breakfast will be provided. Hope to see you there!
BUSINESS MEETING: Please make plans to stay for a short business meeting after the morning worship service on Sunday, January 24th.
114TH ANNUAL MIDWEST DISTRICT CONFERENCE: “The Unseen, Ever Present Battle. . . Preparing for Spiritual Warfare” is the theme of the Midwest District Conference on February 25-27th in Columbus, Nebraska. If you would like more information about this conference, there are flyers on the table by the kitchen.
DEVOTION RESOURCES:
1. On the tables by the offering boxes in the worship center you will see copies of Our Daily Bread, a daily devotional booklet. If you would like one of these, please feel free to take one. Please take only one per family.
2. If you would like to read a daily devotion on line, you can find one from Our Daily Bread by going to their website, RBC.org. If you have elementary-age children who would enjoy reading a selection from scripture accompanied by a story geared for their age level, they can go to cbhministries.org (not CBH.org as was previously printed here) and click on “Keys for Kids.” A good website for teens and families is Josh McDowell’s site, http://www.josh.org/site/c.ddKDIMNtEqG/b.4193325/k.9B86/Daily_Devotional.htm.
