Special Announcements
NO BIBLE CLASSES OR SUMMER CHILDREN’S PROGRAM ON JULY 4TH: On July 4th, there will be no adult, middle school or high school classes during the Bible class hour from 9:30-10:30 a.m., and the summer children’s program that has been running from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon will not be meeting. The worship service will be at 10:45 a.m. as usual, and the nursery and Promiseland will still be available.
POTLUCK AND ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING: On Sunday, July 18th, there will be a church pot luck dinner, followed by the annual business meeting. Please bring two side dishes to go with the fried chicken that will be provided.
NEW NURSERY COORDINATOR: Starting immediately, Sarah Sharp will be our nursery coordinator. If you have questions regarding the nursery, or if you would like to volunteer to help with the nursery ministry, you may reach Sarah at 316-215-1917, or email her at sharpcrum2@yahoo.com. We thank God for Sarah’s heart to serve our body!
BRIDGE OF HOPE SEVEN-YEAR ANNIVERSARY: Bridge of Hope Community Church has invited our church family to their seven-year anniversary celebration on Sunday, July 4th. The celebration will start with the worship service at 10:45 a.m., which will include testimonies of lives that have been transformed through the ministry of the church. A dinner will immediately follow the service. If you have questions, you may call Bridge of Hope at 913-499-6741.
UP-COMING SPEAKERS: Since Pastor Tom and Barb will be attending the Challenge Conference, Mark Gassman will be speaking during the worship service this Sunday, and Pastor Joe will be speaking on Sunday, July 4th.
LIFE-GIVING SEMINAR: On July 22nd, at Faith Evangelical Free Church in Manhattan, Kansas, Neil and Judy Brower will be speaking at what they call a “Life-giving Seminar.” The cost is $25 per person, with a $10 deposit due by July 15th. The cost includes training materials, a meal, and trainers’ expenses. If you would like more information, you may call Shawn Thompson at 316-461-3403, or go to mwdstudentministries@me.com.
JOB OPPORTUNITY: There is a paid part-time opening at the Thrift Store for an assistant to the manager, Kathy Schrock. The deadline to apply is June 28. Applications may be picked up at the Thrift Store and returned there to Kathy. For more information you may call 884-2279.

Angel Food Distribution Date: Saturday, June 26th, from 8-9 a.m.
Larry DeLawder at Stony Point Christian Church: Larry DeLawder (the Barney Fife impersonator and harmonica player who was here last year) will be performing at Stony Point Christian Church in Kansas City this Saturday, June 27th. It will be held in outside in a park area at the church, and will start with a potluck at 6:00 p.m. If you would like to attend, you may contact Beth Zans at 278-6742.
