CHRISTMAS BAZAAR: Tomorrow night (Thursday) from 6:00-8:30 p.m. we will have Cornerstone’s First Annual Christmas Bazaar! Come for a fun time of shopping, fellowship, dessert and snacks, and even a chance to win fabulous door prizes. For more information, contact Susan Lockard (380-2416) or Teresa Fordyce (884-2237). CONGRATULATIONS, EMMA ENGLAND! At the D.A.R.E. graduation on Tuesday night, Emma England did a great job reading her winning essay, which was chosen from all of the essays written by the 225 students involved in the program. Congratulations, Emma!
YOUTH NEWS:
- Youth meet tonight at 6 p.m.
- Sunday, December 11th – White ELFant Party, 6:00-8:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, December 21st – Caroling, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
- Sunday, January 8th – Ice Skating at Crown Center
HOLIDAY POTLUCK: Our Holiday Potluck this year will be this Sunday, December 4th, after the morning worship service. Please bring two of the following: potato/pasta dish, salad, vegetable or a dessert. Smoked ham will be provided.
NO DECEMBER FELLOWSHIP DINNER: Since we are having the holiday potluck on December 4th, we will not have our first Wednesday Fellowship Dinner that would have been held on December 7th.
R.E.S.T.: Our next R.E.S.T. (Rejuvenation, Encouragement, Support, Transformation) evening will be Monday, December 12th in the Fireside Room. Come join us for this refreshing time of fellowship with other women in the church family. For more information you may call Laura Holden (380-3068) or the church office (380-2422). Friends are welcome!
BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR JESUS: On Saturday, December 17th, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. we are going to host a celebration of Jesus’ birth for the children in our church and community. If you would like to help with the party, please contact Ashley Pierce (816-387-1091).
CHILDREN’S CONCERT PRACTICES: Our children will be performing some of your favorite Christmas carols during the worship service on Sunday, December 18th. In order to be ready to sing, the kids will be practicing during the Children’s Church/Promiseland time on December 4th and December 11th. Parents, if you have children ages Pre-School through 5th grade who would like to sing, if possible please be sure they are at church on these two Sundays for the practices. If you have questions, you may contact Ashley Pierce (816-387-1901) or Stephanie Roth (806-7297).
CHRISTMAS CAROLING: Would you like to go Christmas caroling? On Wednesday, December 21st, at 6 p.m., the youth will be going caroling in the neighborhood across the street from the church, and would like to invite the church family to come along. Please bring your favorite Christmas treat to share afterwards. Contact Nick or Ashley Pierce (261-9008/816-387-1091) for more information.
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE: We will have a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. on Saturday evening the 24th. Since Christmas falls on Sunday this year, there will be no Sunday morning service so that people may spend time with their families.
