Announcements

MINISTRY FAIR:  As the follow-up to the 2:10 sheets we filled out last week, this Sunday we’ll be taking time during the service to visit ministry information tables set up around the worship center.  If you can’t be here on Sunday, but would to know more about ministry opportunities available at Cornerstone and in our community, please feel free to call the church office at 380-2422.

YOUTH NEWS:

  • Sunday at 9:30 a.m.  – Part 4 of the series on creation with Bryan Gilbert – this week he will be talking about the origin of angels, demons and Satan.
  • Sunday from 5:00-6:00 p.m.  – Youth Power team
  • Sunday from 6:23-8:00 p.m. – Youth Group
  • If you are planning to go to Challenge, please give your $100 deposit to Jake or Paula Kohl THIS SUNDAY so that they can get our group registered by March 1st

FUNDRAISING SPAGHETTI DINNER:  Plan on staying for a delicious spaghetti dinner served by our youth following the worship service this Sunday!   Your donations at the meal will go toward the expenses of those youth who are attending the Challenge Youth Conference this summer.

AWANA INFORMATION MEETING:  Joel Culberson, the AWANA missionary from Topeka, will be coming to Cornerstone THIS Wednesday, February 29th at 7 p.m. to talk with us about what is involved in starting an AWANA club at our church.  If you are interested in this ministry, please plan to attend this meeting.  Contact Teresa Haffner at 540-3887 for more information.

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY CLASS NOW FORMING:  Next Sunday, March 4th at 9:30 a.m. (during the Bible Class hour) a new Welcome to the Family Class will be starting.   This 6-week informative class provides a way for you to learn about our beliefs, vision, history, and the various ministries we offer. It is designed to help you in your decision-making process of deciding on a new church home.  It’s also a great way to connect with other families.  Completing “Welcome to the Family” is required for membership.    If you are interested being a part of this class, please contact Bryan and Martha Gilbert at 380-5971 as soon as possible.

RELAY FOR LIFE:  The City of Harrisonville “Relay for Life” team is looking for new team members to participate in this year’s event.   The Relay is on June 15th at Harrisonville Middle School and goes from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. the next morning.  Participants don’t have to stay the entire time.  The suggested “goal” for team members is $100, but there is no limit.   Anyone interested in joining the team or buying a luminary in memory/honor of a loved one can contact Stan Belk at 797-3005.
