“…the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor…to comfort all who mourn…to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” Isaiah 61:1-3
Our world is poor, broken, and in bondage.
Followers of Jesus Christ have been given a mission and the power to be healers and restorers.
The world is crying. Jesus is calling. We accept the challenge.
We will widen our worldview.
We will give water, attack poverty, and release the prisoners.
We will bring comfort, beauty, joy, and praise.
We will banish despair.
We can make a difference. We must.
Here we stand.
633 million people across the world do not have access to clean, safe water. That’s almost 1 in 10. 361,000 children every year could live to see their 5th birthday if they had the benefits of clean water. The rest of us can make a difference. We must. Here we stand.
The world needs water.
Lack of clean, safe water leads to poverty.
Poverty leads to human-trafficking.
When problems can be solved and we don’t solve them, that is injustice.
We will do justly: HERE WE STAND.
“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8.
“But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” Amos 5:24
