“…the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor…to comfort all who mourn…to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” Isaiah 61:1-3
Our world is poor, broken, and in bondage.
Followers of Jesus Christ have been given a mission and the power to be healers and restorers.
The world is crying. Jesus is calling. We accept the challenge.
We will widen our worldview.
We will give water, attack poverty, and release the prisoners.
We will bring comfort, beauty, joy, and praise.
We will banish despair.
We can make a difference. We must.
Here we stand.
Jesus said my responsibility is bigger than just my family; I am responsible for my “neighbors” - not just on my street, but around the world. I need a WHOLE world view.
"God loves you, but I'm his favorite."
God loves the world – he has no favorites.
God loves the world so much that he willingly gave what was dearest and best to meet the needs of the world.
"As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."
We've got the whole world in our hands.
