The ancient stories of God and His people are full of wanderings and repentance, God’s miraculous interventions, commitment and victories, and the Promised Land. All along the way stones were used to mark defining moments of their travels and experiences.
Did you know there are figurative stone markers we need in our journey with God still today? Spend the first month of 2018 collecting your stones and defining your path to a fulfilling future.
You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor. And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple.
When Jesus came, there was a new Covenant and an even better way. God was building a new building.
- Jesus is the cornerstone.
- We are the living stones.
- Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
- I Peter 3:15
- Together we are the church/the temple God is building. We are his giant Cairn, his witness to the world.
The Church, the Cairn, living and teaching Jesus Christ is the Hope of the World.
