Melancholy of changing seasons came over me..

Digging out all our Ministry Partner name tags to get ready for our first Watch Party at our new building brought on many emotions. The last time they were used was in March when we were forced to shut down because Coventry Elementary School closed down.

These lanyards represent the people who served then and now. Some have been called to other churches, some have passed, and others just haven't found their way back, yet.

The saints before us come to my mind.

Some of the people represented here I know well, others not so much. Each name represents a friendship, a family, a child of God. God knows each and every one of them intimately.

Melancholy at the realization of changing seasons came over me. Still, as I started creating new tags, I started praising God for what He is truly doing. How often do we get stuck in what was only to miss what is and coming?

From where I sit, I have a real vantage point. I see so much. Cornerstone's vision of passing on a relevant faith to new generations is alive and thriving! Helping people find the Father, a family, and a fulfilling future is more than a mission statement - it is who we are.

Community.

We just launched have a new discipleship program with many of our leaders committed and engaged. The NextGen Youth Group is growing and teens are committing to serve. People in hardships are being helped, the Church is providing for its people. And that is all because of the generosity of Jesus in YOU!

I give you a new commandment, that you love one another.
Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.
By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.
John 13:34-35

These blessings on top of a new building, Watch Parties, and gearing up for live services again is such evidence of the love Jesus is doing through all of us.

To the people represented by these name tags, thank you! The investments you've made and continue to have given us and others a safe place to find the Father, a family, and a fulfilling future!

There is unity.
There is CommUNITY.
