Alice Taylor // Testimony

I made the serious choice to follow Jesus in 1989. I was a parent with young children and I knew my husband and I needed all the help we could get raising them. I had asked for prayer for our youngest as he was having another surgery. As Cornerstone’s pastor at the time, Pastor Charlie Young, was praying he said to me "Alice, Jesus loves Jason and he loves you too." I felt the love of Jesus for the first time, even though I was raised in the church.

Following Jesus hasn’t made life easy, as some people think it should. We have been through a lot. Our kids were not perfect. We have a son with multiple disabilities. I have been diagnosed with MS and breast cancer (now cancer free) and my husband and I have both suffered job losses. We lived through the COVID epidemic and not being with our family for over a year.

Over time I have learned to put everything in Jesus' hands. I choose to trust him, knowing he has the best answer.Even when I’m not sure, when I have doubted, He has never failed me.
